The XVII grudis Conference and Doctoral Colloquium will be held at the Catholic Porto Business School, on the 2nd and 3rd February 2018. The grudis Conference will be preceded by a Doctoral colloquium. The XVII grudis Conference and Doctoral Colloquium is supported by the European Accounting Association (EAA).

Structure
Doctoral Colloquium (2nd February)
The Doctoral Colloquium will feature the presentation of doctoral research projects. This event provides doctoral students (grudis or EAA members) with the opportunity to present and discuss their research projects and / or the preliminary results of their research.
Projects should contain a brief description of the research problem, the research methodology to adopt, the data to be used and the appropriate collection process, the expected results and any difficulties in project execution. If preliminary results are available, these should be provided.
As a general rule, research projects can be presented only once in the Doctoral Colloquium. A second presentation may be accepted when there are fundamental changes in the research project. The authors of accepted research projects are required to participate in the poster session during the conference.
All presented research projects will be discussed by a faculty panel. The Doctoral Colloquium is open to registered conference participants.
Conference (3rd February)
The conference will feature the presentation of articles and a poster session.
Presentation of Articles: The grudis Conference provides the opportunity for the presentation and discussion of research articles (at least one author must be a grudis or an EAA member). Articles will be accepted on the basis of merit. Articles should not have been presented in previous grudis conferences or, if so, must contain fundamental changes. Each article will be discussed by one discussant.
Poster Session: This session displays the research projects presented at the Doctoral Colloquium and aims to promote the dissemination of PhD students’ research, creating opportunities for the constructive discussion of ideas with the conference participants and for the development of skills to synthesise ideas.
Acceptance of papers only becomes final after registration at the conference of at least one of the authors of the article, within the period defined by the organization. Similarly, PhD students must register to confirm the acceptance of their research project to the Doctoral colloquium program.
